Meet Our Board Members

Together Health Network is a physician led organization with a physician majority board. Our board members are passionate, knowledgeable, and experienced in population health management and value-based contracting.

Dorothy "Dottie" Deremo, RN, MSN, MHSA, FACHE is Principal Partner, The Deremo Group and Executive Emeritus, Hospice of Michigan. She is recognized nationally and internationally as an author, consultant, entrepreneur, health care public policy expert, and influential leader. Previously, she served as President and CEO of Hospice of Michigan (HOM) and was the Founding President and CEO of the Hospice of Michigan Institute, Hospice of Michigan Foundation, and HOM's national non-profit subsidiary company, At Home Support™.

Scott Eathorne, MD, President and CEO of Together Health Network. Most recently he served as the President and CEO of St. John Providence Partners in Care and was instrumental in the development of The Physician Alliance, consisting of 2100 multispecialty physicians, which partnered with St. John Providence Health System to form Partners in Care.

James Fox, MD, emergency medicine, Vice President, Emergency Medicine Specialists, PC and on staff at St. John Providence Health System. He has an interest in the economics of health care, and has lectured locally within the state, and on a national level regarding coding/billing and reimbursement issues in emergency medicine.

Michael Gusho, CFO, Saint Joseph Mercy Health System. He participates on various Trinity Health Councils and Steering Committees to develop, implement and monitor innovative operational and strategic initiatives to achieve financial performance in an evolving healthcare environment.

Gwen MacKenzie, Senior Vice President, Ascension Health and Michigan Market Leader. Trained as an oncology nurse and advanced practice nurse practitioner, Ms. MacKenzie also served as COO at Detroit Medical Center and CEO of Sarasota Memorial Health Care System where she was named one of "100 Leaders of Great Hospitals" by Becker's Hospital Review in 2013.

Imad Mansoor, MD, internal medicine, Chief Medical Officer of Oakland Physician Network Services, Inc. (OPNS) and on staff at Saint Joseph Mercy Oakland Hospital. OPNS provides financial and quality analysis and reporting services that assist member physicians in delivering higher quality care and managing costs for more than 15 healthcare plans.

Patrick McGuire, CFO, Ascension Michigan and Executive Vice President, St. John Providence Health System. Since joining St. John Providence Health System in 1986, Mr. McGuire has played a pivotal role in transforming a one-hospital system with a narrow geographic presence, into a five-hospital, diversified health enterprise spanning five counties in southeast Michigan.

Rick O'Connell, Trinity Health Executive Vice President and President, East Group and Chairman of the Together Health Network Board. Throughout his 40+ year career, Mr. O'Connell has worked in healthcare operations and management in both the corporate and hospital arena including experience serving as President and CEO of several regional health systems throughout the US.

Dennis Ramus, MD, family medicine, Bay Area Family Physicians, PC and on staff at St. John Providence Health System. His experience includes serving as Chairman of the Board at The Physician Alliance (TPA), a physician organization representing more than 2,100 primary care and specialty physicians, a Clinical Assistant Professor at Wayne State University School of Medicine, and as a Certified Public Accountant.

Sridhar Rao, MD, family medicine, Genesys Integrated Group Practice and on staff at Genesys Regional Medical Center. Dr. Rao's practice has received annual Recognition for the past three years from the National Committee for Quality Assurance for Patient-Centered Medical Home models.

David Steinberger, MD, internal medicine, President of Infinity Primary Care and Associate Program Director for the Internal Medicine Residency at St. Mary Mercy Livonia. Dr. Steinberger has been awarded Recognition for the past three years by the National Committee for Quality Assurance/American Diabetes Association Diabetes Physician Recognition Program.

Paul Valenstein, MD, clinical pathologist, IHA and President of the Saint Joseph Mercy Health Partners Clinically Integrated Network which houses 750 physicians and three hospitals and oversees risk-based contracting for approximately 60,000 members. Dr. Valenstein also serves on the Board of Directors for Integrated Health Associates and as Chief Operating Officer for Michigan Co-tenancy Laboratories.

David Van Winkle, MD, family medicine, Medical Director, Lakeshore Health Network and West Michigan Regional Clinically Integrated Network and on staff at Mercy Health. In 2006, Dr. Van Winkle's practice was selected as one of 36 practices in TransforMed's National Demonstration Project for the Patient Centered Medical Home model.

Stacey Watson, MD, internal medicine, Vice President Clinical Practice and Integration at Borgess Health. Her experience includes serving as Medical Director of the Upjohn Nursing Home and as a clinical instructor for Michigan State University.

Howard Zuckerman, Ph.D, Professor (retired), Department of Health Services, School of Public Health and Community Medicine, University of Washington. He previously served as Director of the Center for Health Management Research, founded in 1991 and designated by the National Science Foundation as an Industry/University Cooperative Research Center.
