Scott EathorneScott Eathorne, MD, one of the key physicians who led planning of the new network, has been appointed CEO. Prior to joining THN, Dr. Eathorne was the President of Partners in Care, a physician hospital organization representing the partnership between The Physician Alliance and its 2100 physicians, and St. John Providence. Dr. Eathorne is a family and athletic medicine physician who was instrumental in the development of The Physician Alliance.  Prior to that, he served as the Medical Director for the Providence Medical Group.  He has been actively involved in healthcare transformation, as a clinician and physician leader, focusing on the Patient Centered Medical Home model, successful integration of enabling technologies and development of care management services in an effort to improve population health.

Mark CasmerMark Casmer joins THN as Vice President, Network Development. He served previously as Interim President and CEO, Chief Operating Officer/Vice President of Operations, and as Senior Director of Client Relations at Medical Advantage Group (MAG). Casmer’s executive leadership experience from Henry Ford Health System, HAP, and BCBSM/BCN spans areas such as provider incentive program design and administration, provider client servicing, provider contracting, and leadership over areas such as Health Information Technology, Human Resources, Management Services, and Financial operations. While at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan and Blue Care Network, he had significant experience focusing on Pay for Performance programs with physician organizations (PPO and HMO) and collaborative quality initiative (CQI) activities with hospitals.

Alex VeletsosAlex Veletsos has moved into the role of Vice President, Information Technology for THN, in addition to his role as Chief Information Officer for St. Mary’s of Michigan and St. Joseph Health System, members of Ascension Health Michigan. Prior to joining Ascension, Veletsos served as the Chief Technology Officer of Orlando Health, and Adventist Health System. His accomplishments include the successful implementation of a clinical data warehouse which, through the use of predictive modeling, supported physicians, at the point of care. In his 20 years in health IT, he has led several electronic health record, analytics and enterprise system implementations. Veletsos, who holds a doctorate in leadership, most recently led the successful Symphony/ERP activation at St. Joseph Health System, nine months ahead of schedule.

Ryan O'RoarkRyan O’Roark joins THN as Vice President of Finance and Contracting. He served previously as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of HealthPlus of Michigan, where he led Financial Operation, Business Intelligence, Underwriting and Medical Audit. During his tenure at HealthPlus of Michigan he also served as Manager of Network Development and Reimbursement Support and Project Manager of Network Operations and Performance. O’Roark served as Director of Operations for Oakwood ACO as well as the Director of Managed Care Contracting for Oakwood Healthcare.

Sue HashisakaSusan K. Hashisaka joins THN as Director of Operations. Prior to joining THN, she was Director of Clinical Transformation at the Southeast Michigan Beacon Community, where she led clinical transformation strategies in physician offices to transform care through IT adoption and to enable population health management. Through SKH Business Consultants, Hashisaka developed transformation initiatives in physician offices to improve clinical and operational efficiencies, meet government and regulatory requirements and performance metrics, and enhance financial performance. Hashisaka has also held leadership positions in managed care marketing, product development, employer purchasing strategies for health benefits, and administrative management for specialty care services.

Debi SiljanderDebi Siljander, MD joins THN as Medical Director. Prior to joining THN Dr. Siljander served as Director of Clinical Integration at Beaumont Health System. She has also served as Medical Director of Monterey Physicians Medical Group and MedQuan Sports Medicine, PC, and has been a sports medicine and family practice provider for more than 10 years. Dr. Siljander has been actively involved in leading development and implementation of healthcare transformation initiatives including clinical integration focusing on quality, access, and efficiency of care delivery models. Dr. Siljander has experience working with executive leadership, primary care and specialist providers in both the private sector and hospital employed setting to ensure physician alignment for a highly integrated delivery system to service population health management.
